Special Topic Introduction
Cardiovascular medicine is undergoing a profound transformation, driven by the rapid growth of data and advances in artificial intelligence (AI). This Special Issue, titled “Artificial Intelligence in Cardiovascular Medicine”, seeks to showcase cutting-edge developments at the intersection of AI and cardiovascular care. AI and machine learning algorithms are increasingly capable of deciphering complex patterns in multidimensional data - ranging from imaging and genomics to continuous physiological monitoring - unlocking new opportunities for automated diagnosis, risk stratification, and personalized treatment planning across a wide spectrum of cardiovascular diseases.
We invite submissions of original research articles, reviews, and perspective pieces that explore the development, validation, and clinical implementation of AI technologies in cardiovascular medicine. Key areas of focus include, but are not limited to: AI- and large language model-based early disease warning systems; precision diagnostics and risk stratification; AI-optimized clinical decision-making workflows; integration of AI with wearable devices and telemedicine; and AI-assisted surgical robotics.
This issue also aims to foster interdisciplinary collaboration in cardiovascular research by establishing a high-caliber academic exchange platform, ultimately driving innovation and advancing the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular conditions.
