Catalysis, Energy and Environment Holds Inaugural Online Editorial Board Meeting to Advance International Development and Academic Excellence
On May 14, 2026, Catalysis, Energy and Environment successfully convened its inaugural online Editorial Board Meeting via Zoom conferencing platform, organized by the journal's Editorial Office. The meeting brought together Associate Editors, Editorial Board Members from China, the United States, Malaysia, South Korea, Singapore, and other countries and regions. Editor-in-Chief Yongfa Zhu actively participated throughout the meeting and provided strategic guidance on the journal's future development and internationalization.
The meeting served as an important forum for in-depth discussions on the journal's academic positioning, editorial standards, manuscript development, international collaboration, and long-term publishing strategy. Participants shared valuable insights and constructive recommendations aimed at strengthening the journal's academic influence, publication quality, and global visibility in the interdisciplinary fields of catalysis, energy, and environmental sciences.
In his opening remarks, Prof. Zhu emphasized that Catalysis, Energy and Environment is an international, peer-reviewed, gold open-access journal dedicated to advancing interdisciplinary catalysis research across materials science, sustainable energy, and environmental engineering. The journal aims to establish a high-quality academic platform that bridges fundamental catalytic science with practical applications in clean energy conversion, environmental remediation, carbon neutrality, and green chemistry.
Prof. Zhu further highlighted that Catalysis, Energy and Environment particularly encourages innovative research that provides new insights into the design, synthesis, characterization, and mechanistic understanding of catalysts for energy and environmental applications. During the meeting, Prof. Zhu also introduced the journal's publishing vision and strategic development plans. Catalysis, Energy and Environment will publish a wide range of article types, including original research articles, reviews, perspectives, short communications, and commentaries. Through rigorous peer review standards and an efficient editorial management system jointly coordinated by the Editorial Office and Editorial Board, the journal aims to ensure both academic excellence and publication efficiency while fostering international scientific exchange and interdisciplinary collaboration.
During the discussion session, Editorial Board members actively contributed suggestions regarding manuscript solicitation strategies, Special Issue planning, engagement with early-career researchers, international academic cooperation, and journal branding and promotion.
